Produce your ssc certificate
since your father is SC you were etitled to reservation and got govt job under SC reservation
merely because your mother caste is mentioned in ssc certificate does not disentitle you to reservation benefit

I am working as teacher in Govt. primary school having and about retire in next two months. I am having SC certificate of mine and my father, but in school leaving certificate mine mother cast is mentioned and after my father cast is declared as SC in 1977 by then I have completed my SSLC and got job in Govt. School under SC reservation through my father Cast reservation. Now I have been asked to produce all the records which I am having except school leaving certificate shows my mother cast which is OBC.

Since your father belonged to SC community you are very much eligible to choose your father's community even though your mother belonged to other community.
Therefore you can very well produce the documents you were advised to produce before the concerned authorities and explain your position.
As I have been issued SC certificate and employment prior to 1990 and does directorate of civil right cell call for verification based on complaint raised by third party through district social welfare dept. As I have heard for SC/ST cast certificate issued prior to 1990 only state level scrutiny committee can verify the genuineness of Certificate.

If you have been given a notice to submit explanation you may better give proper explanation along with supporting documents.
If the matter is going to court then you can think about its maintainability based on the irregularities that you find now.

You should cooperate with investigations rather than raise technical issue that only state level scrutiny committee can verify genuine ness
