You are not entitled to apply for govt job on demise of your step father

you were not legal adopted by your step father hence you are not eligible

Once he married your mother he became your father as he became part of your family. Therefore you should apply for a job inder the compassionate appointment category.

You have stated that in your educational certificates name of biological father is mentioned

further there is no giving and taking ceremony performed nor any deed of adoption executed by your biological mother

mere entry in ration card is not sufficient

That doesn't matter as you are the dependents in your current family and hence you are eligible.

Since your step father has not legally adopted you as his son by a registered adoption deed, you will remain as his step son alone.

You cannot claim job on compassionate grounds on the basis of the step father and step child relationship, it is not maintainable.

The family card is not a proof to prove that your step father was your biological father or an adopted father.

If he has adopted you then you will be entitled for the said job. If you try without that the police authority may oppose it

As per law, legal a son is also is entitled  to get government job, on compassionate ground , after the demise of his  father , if he undertakes to look after the other dependent of the deceased.

- Since, you having adoption deed executed by your stepfather late sh. Naresh Kumar , then you can get that job after his death , even your documents are showing the name of earlier father.

- A ration card is not enough for the same in the absence of adoption deed..

Dear client,

you can apply to change your father's name in the certificates to the concerned authority. If that doesn't help you can file a writ petition before the concerned court.

Thank you
