• School student transcripts from University of Mysore

I want a lawyer for advice me or taking my case and challenge . My Name is Endale Bonsa from Ethiopia. I was a student of university of Mysore, India through online B.Com . I registered as a student in Year 2015 as a degree program . At the time of registration, I am aware that , the time limit for the learning is 3-6 years the maximum. but due to the war in Ethiopia, I could cover the full around 12 courses to get the degree program . My maximum time limited has expired on December 31, 2021 . for this , i contacted the school to extend the period , with my reason , but it was not possible to extend the period . so I asked also , i want to register as a student again , but let me to transfer what i studied and passed the previous study, but the school said , no any possibility of transferring what i studied before even the school , the courses are the same . so my last resort was to ask a student transcripts ,but again , it is not possible to get the student transcripts unless i fished at the time period. my point is at the time or registration , the school inform me that , at the web pages , the period is 3-6 years maximum. so is there any legal challenges to get my studied student transcripts ? i can pay any cost to get . Help me please

Make representation before UGC for extension of time for completing your course

if no reliefs granted file writ petition in HC for extension of time on grounds that course could not be completed due to war in Ethiopia

If you have the brochure or any paper mentioning the agreement or the clause what yo have mentioned here, you may please contact any advocate of this forum or outside with all relevant in formation and take an opinion and also suggestion to get the desired task completed.

Without seeing the actual contents of your course details no proper opinion can be rendered hence it is advisable you contact an advocate in person or  either over phone for clarifying more details in this regard.

- It is well settled law that any service provider like the training institutes, educational institutes/schools or College /university cannot be allowed to forfeit the fees or consideration received in advance in case the student has not availed the service.

- Further, the clause that the Course/Registration fee once paid is not refundable is unconscionable and unfair trade practice as well as voidable and therefore not acceptable.

- Since, you could not complete the said course within the prescribed period due to the situation which was out of your control , hence the said school should given you property time to complete the said course with further extended time frame

- Further, the said school is also bound to provide the transcripts as well, otherwise the said school is bound to refund the fee taken from you .

- You can send a legal notice firstly to the said school with the help of a lawyer .

You can contact me, if further suggestion needed .

Dear client,

You may try to get the student transcripts for the years that you have studied there a student. You can say that colleges are usually supposed to give the students their yearly transcripts anyway. If they still refuse, you can try and approach the higher authorities within the college and request them. If this does not work either, then you can try and approach the University Grants Commission (UGC), the governing body which governs colleges in India and explain your situation to an authority in there and ask for any redressal possible.

However, these may be time consuming and there is a possibility it may not work. I would suggest contacting an Indian lawyer and asking them for their professional help regarding your specific situation.

Thank you.
