Dear Client,

Such information may not be disclosed on an RTI as it is regarding a third party and may be designated as confidential. Thus, it is better to request a detailed status report of your complaint from the ombudsman.

Thank you

The information sought from the Ombudsman by the applicant has to be furnished by the authorities concerned.

The insurance company being a PSU also has to furnish the requested information/documents sought under the provisions of RTI act.

The Ombudsman is a public authority hence they cannot deny to furnish the information sought through RTI act.

There is no question of fiduciary relationship between the insurance company and the Ombudsman.

The Ombudsman is a government official who deals with complaints made by ordinary people against public organizations.or the organisations which are required to report to them as per the directives of Government
