You need to execute a specific PoA in favour of your relative or friend in Chennai to take legal action on your behalf. Then the power agent may file a summary suit under Sec-138 of the NI Act for cheque dishonour, in consultation with a local lawyer.

- If you have given friendly loan , and the person issued cheque for the refund of the loan amount in your favour, then on bouncing of the cheque take legal action against him.

- You can issue a legal demand notice to him within one month of the return memo of the bank..

- Further, even no payment made by him, then you can file a compliant under the provision of 138 of N.I. Act, 

- Further, if he not appear before the court ,then court may issue NBW against him .

- Further , you can also recover the loan amount from him after filing a recovery suit before the court . 

- Further, if you are not in India, then even you can file the cases against him with the help of POA .
