Birth Certificate
My birth certificate--- 1) Only has my first name. 2) Doesn't have my mother's name. 3) Written in ink. Will these be an issue for the K-1 visa process to USA? Since it asks for full name and both parents name.

If I have to reissue my birth certificate because of this if the US Consular officer rejects it. Then what is the process of obtaining a new birth certificate with all details? How much time it takes? My birth certificate was issued by Municipal Department of Chhattisgarh. Also can birth certificate be reissued in Choice Centers?

A birth certificate is what it is. Formats differ in different countries. It cannot be reissued. However there are other proofs in case they want your mother and father's details ie marksheet/aadhar/an affidavit endorsed by the government.
You need to take court orders stating the above reasons as municipal Corporation will only correct for clerical errors in the same

Birth certificate can be issued but for that you have to visit the municipal office of the city where you were born, pay a small amount of fee and then they will give you an application form to fill all your details required to make a birth certificate and they will provide you the receipt and date of issue. Now a days these procedure can be done online by visiting official website of municipal corporation.

It will take minimum a month or two to reiisue your Birth Certificate.
The registrar of births may not entertain any application seeking to amend your name or to add your mother's name.
For that you may have to approach court a with a suit to declare the particulars to be added as correct and seek direction to the concerned registrar to carry out the amendments accordingly.
The birth certificate cannot be reissued by the authorities concerned for any reason.
If you want to get the additional particulars added to your birth certificate and desire to obtain the amended birth certificate, then you may have to approach couirt of law to get a decree and direction to the concerned authorities for this purpose.
The time taken by the court to get this case disposed may be between 6 months to one year, the cost for this task can be enquired from the lawyer who you may engage.
- Since, you having other documents with the correct details , then after submitting the same to the office of the birth registrar , you can get a new corrected birth certificate within a short period of time.
