That is a ground but you have state it under the grounds of cruelty as not allowing a spouse to visit/take care of the parents can be a ground for divorce.

When you both are working then they cannot compel you to work. You people can easily engage a person to do household chores.

The reason what you have stated cannot be a grounds for divorce.

You can make some other reason as grounds for divorce.

You can  mention the mental cruelties that he had given to you which pushed you to decide about dissolving the marriage between you both.

Doing household chores is the marital obligations of the Hindu wife.

You cannot state that as a ground for divorce.

You may have to look for some other reason which would be considered as valid grounds by court for divorce.

Your husband's act of asking you to live with his parents and do domestic chore cannot be construed to be an act of domestic violence or mental cruelty by any stretch of imagination. Please do not consider any steps in haste to impair the institution of your marriage.

- Yes, you can file divorce petition on the ground of cruelty

- Since, there is no one to look after the husband , then you are under legal obligation to take care of them , otherwise they have right to approach the court even against the daughter .

- Further, if in-laws are regularly interfere in your matrimonial life then you can file a compliant against them.
