If she can file a criminal complaint then you too can file a criminal complaint as taking money for not filing a criminal complaint is an offence. It comes under extortion.

You should file a criminal complaint against the woman immediately.

You were a victim and didn't know about the first marriage. Moreover, 2nd marriage is allowed in muslim law.

- If the said divorce is granted on the ground of mutual consent by the court of Dubai between the parties , then only it is valid in INDIA.

- Further, his first wife cannot threaten specially after your divorce when there is no relation exist as husband and wife.

- You can lodge a compliant against her before the police and higher official.

- Further, no case made out against you , and there is no basis to file a complaint against you legally.

You can contact me , if further suggestion needed.

The first wife of yor ex-spouse has no reasons to demand any money from you for any reason.

In fact you can take criminal action against her for extortion, threats, criminal intimidation  and other relevant offences that she is trying to unleash against you in the name of demanding money from your without any rights on you.

Her lawyer is not the law or an authority to say that she can claim money from you, you can give a complaint against her with the appropriate forum if she continues to trouble or torture you on such issues again.

She cannot file any case against you even if you still remain married to her husband, because it is not a crime to marry a person which was solemnised as per provisions of personal law of the individual.

She cannot take any action agaisnt you for any reason, you can contact a lawyer and issue a legal notice warning her about the legal consequences if she is not refraining from indulging in such illegal activities against you.

She cannot file any complaint against you, she is just threatening you without any base.

Her intentions are malafide and she has got some inner agenda hidden behind her such threatening activities.

You just do not be worried or bothered about that, if at all you have harmed her personally then you may have to worry about the consequences, if you have not done any harm to her then you need not be worried about any such thing.
