You can apply in your maiden name if your educational certificates and employment registration card carries your maiden name

Job application using maiden name
Sir, I want to apply for a job in a PSU by using my maiden name "DAS" . But my Adhar card and PAN card carries my husband's surname "Sonowal". Since my Employment Registration Card has my maiden name Das and so also all my educational certificates. Will it create any problem if I apply job application by my maiden name? kindly provide your valuable advice on the matter. Regards, Ms P Das

You can get your name corrected in aadhar by filling up for on line. You can get the name changed within a day if you visit the post office or aadhar center nearby. I am forwarding a link to site of aadhar you will get very information on that. Dear Sir, My marriage certificate also has my husband's surname with my name. Hope it does not create any complicacy later on. Will be it advisable to keep my maiden name in my marriage certificate by applying it anew? Thanks

No, there wouldn't be any problem. However you should file an affidavit before the JM to declare that both the name are of same and identical person.

You can in your application mention maiden name also married name in brackets
no need to change your marriage certificate
It is better to apply for correct marriage certificate furnishing correction in aadhar. Relying on aadhar it can be done.
- Since your all educational certificates having maiden name , then you can apply for job in PSU by using this maiden name , and marriage certificate will not create any problem.
- However, you can execute an Affidavit of atleast Rs.10/- stamp paper , that your both names are same and of one person.

1. you can make an affidavit which states that both the names are of same and identical person before the Magistrate. though this process is not required but after this, you need not to worry about any legal complications regarding your name

1. You have the liberty to use your maiden name or post marriage name.
2. However, it will be prudent on your part to select one name and use it in all the places/documents.
3, You can apply as P.Das for your job but should also execute an affidavit before the 1st Class Judicial Magistrate affirming that you title has been mentioned as Sonowal in your PAN and AADHAR Card where as it is Das in all your certificates for which you would like to be known as P.Das henceforth for which the AADHAR Card and PAN Card authorities are required to issue you fresh cards duly amending your title.
1. In your affidavit, you add your marriage certificate also.
2. On receipt of the affidavit, you can apply for issuance of fresh marriage certificate with your amended name.
Your aadhar card or the PAN card are not the essential document or qualification for this employment.
Your educational qualification certificates and other details are the ingredients required for applying for this employment.
Since the said certificates contain your maiden name and also as you have applied for the job on your maiden name alone, you need not be worried about the name after marriage in the aadhar or PAN card,
The change of name procedure on those documents can be taken up at a later stage if required.
You cannot apply for a fresh marriage certificate now nor you can change the name in the marriage certificate.
You need not be worried about the name after marriage in the marriage certificate. You can follow the procedure of name change for that also at a later stage.
