If name in school leaving certificate is only Yatin you would not be issued passport on renewal with name Yatin Sharma

2) also your Aadhar card bears name Yatin only

3) you have to change your name to Yatin Sharma by notification in official gazette and 2 local newspapers in India together with an affidavit in support of name change

4) then only will name in your passport would be changed to Yatin Sharma

1. Either you can now apply for change of name on your existing passport or at the time of applying for renewal you may fill up the application form with the name you desire to be incorporated on the passport.

2. If documentary proof is given in support of the name which you want to appear on the passport then RPO is bound to allow the change of name.

3. If RPO does not allow the change of name then you will have to file a writ petition in the High Court.

You better wait till you come to India.  Changing of name is not a serious business and you can always wait for this.

You can first apply change in name at Central Government office.  For that you need to give affidavit notarized, if you are NRI than get affidavit signed by Indian Embassy Consulate, two newspaper advertisement in English and local language where is your native address in India, do after that you will get gazette certificate of your change in name.

By the help of change in name gazette you can apply new name on passport.

You can follow the name change procedure.

You can prepare an affidavit duly notarized by a local notary public of that country.  Then you can get it published in a local newspaper in India.

If you are a NRI  then you may even get published in a government Gazette publication.

You can prepare the affidavit stating that you were earlier known by the current name and henceforth you would be known by the proposed name only and that you give this affidavit for the purpose of adding your surname in all the documents pertaining to you.
