Where should I get my NC OBC certificate from, My native place or job place?
Dear Sir/Madam, I am an MBA aspirant for CAT 2020. and belong to the NC OBC category. My native place is Kerala but my parents have been living in MP for the past 30 years. Where should I get my NC OBC certificate from, Kerala or M.P.? And what is the procedure to be followed?

If you are expecting to join job at Guna Madhya Pradesh then M P otherwise Kerla.
You have to apply for NCL OBC CATEGORY before the Tehsildar under whose jurisdiction your house is situated Guna M P or Kerla.
Since I have applied for CAT 2020, my job location will be outside MP. My aadhar card is of Kerala and my obc caste belongs to only Kerala. So, is it okay if i get the certificate attested from Kerala?

At present Kerla is okay.
Apply for OBC NL certificate from Kerala as your OBC caste belongs only to Kerala
Your OBC caste certificate iissued in Kerala s perfectly valid and you can act upon it in all your academics and career.
There is no need for further attestation of the original certificate.
Attestation of photocopy can be done from any place where its going to be submitted or from where its issued.

You can get it from Kerala but do remember that in future you'll be able to claim the benefit of reservation only in Kerala as far as State govt. jobs are concerned.
Your father have acquired the domicile of MP. Certificate will issue from MP only.
Why you took aadhar from Kerala when you are residing in MP only ? Your caste certificate is from Kerala so better obtain NC OBC category from Kerala only.

It is suggested that you may get the certificate attested in the Kerala and the online application to be done for the certificate.
Your community falling under OBC may or may not fall under OBC in MP state.
However you can apply for community certificate in your native place only and in the state where your parents have migrated.
You can approach the local revenue department of your state, apply for the same by producing all the documentary evidences to prove that you belong to that community as well as that your father fall in the NCL category.
You can take the assistance of a local consultant in case you find any difficulty.
The OBC NCL category certificate issued by the Kerala government only will solve the purpose and not that the certificate attested by the Kerala government
- If your father having OBC certificate from M.P. , then only you can make obc ncl certificate from M.P.
- Otherwise, you can get the said certificate from your native place .
- Firstly you have to apply for getting OBC certificate in your name , then apply for getting Income certificate from the Tehsildar ,
- Then after submitting both certificates , you can get the OBC NCL certificate.
- However as you have already OBC certificate from Kerala , then you can get the said certificate from Kerala.
You must be knowing that there is different type of OBC list - one is Central list and Second is state list.You if you are included in Central list that too non creamy layer then fill the form under OBC - NCL.
