The time duration for Gazette name change takes around 10-15 days.
If I give notification for name change but after notification I decide to keep my original name not new.. Means I don't use my changed name and in my documents like voter card etc. Is it OK.? And After notification in how many days name should be changed in documents?
If you have changed your name by notification in official gazette you should use the new name
you should change name in your official documents as soon as possible
No need , if you want to carry old name. Just use that only and dont make any change in any documents and keep addressing you same name.
Dont declare new name anywhere and keep the notification lock.
- After notification , it is not mandatory to change the new name , it depends on you, which name you want to carry.
- Notification is self declaration for changing the name etc , hence if you want to carry the old name , then you can carry the same legally.
- However, if you want to comply the notification , then its time limit is 4 to 6 week only.
No after gazette notification you have to use your new name . There is no time prescribed as such but at first instance and available opportunity without delay it should be done.
It is up to you to use the changed name after notification or to continue with the old name itself by not effecting the notification
There is no time limit for that however you cannot change the name at a belated stage which may raise suspicions about your activity for changing the name at a later stage.
1. No you cannot keep previous name after name change through gazette notification.
2. Name change should be done in all documents in which it is possible for modification as soon as possible.
