Import of sex toy for personal use
Sir,
i have placed the order for a sex toy for personal use 2 items amounting to Rs.1256/-. the order was sent in two packaging and the customs confiscated it and sent two show cause notice few days apart each. The packaging was assessed at Rs.2000/- each.
the two show cause notice commonly read like
the sex toy attempted to be imported by you, the item under import through post parcel is prohibited
in terms of CBEC notification No.01/1964-customs dated 18.01.1964
as per para 2.07 of FTP read with HBP vol.! of 2015-2020, protection of public morals,
Section 11(2) (b) of the customs act 1962,
they were liable for penal action under section 111 (d) of customs act 1962.
asked reasons for not confiscating under section 111 (d) of customs act, 1962 and section 119.
penalty not to by imposed on under section 112(a) (i)
Sir,
i was unaware of the prohibition of the import of sex toys. That being the case,
i do not mind them being confiscated.
will i be liable to pay penalty of a maximum of Rs.5000/- for two show cause notice received or i have to pay Rs.5000/- each for two show cause notice received by me summing to a total of Rs.10,000/-
am i in any more risk other than the financial liability of 5,000/- or 10,000/- to be paid as penalty.

ipc section 292 is about offering and attempting sale, hire, distribution, public exhibition, advertisement so forth
what is its relevance to importing for personal use and me being unaware of the prohibition towards the same.
i am willing for the items to be confiscated by the customs and am prepared to pay penalty.
