• Selection criteria for the post of Manager Electronics in AAI

Sir, I have applied for the post of Manager(Electronics) for "Recruitment of Managers and Junior Executives in various discipline ADVT. NO. 02/2018."As per notification there were 324 vacances out of which 86 are reserved for OBC.
I have applied in the OBC category and submitted all relevant certificates.
There was a criteria as below" Candidates from the private sector applying for various disciplines should be drawing a minimum CTC of Rs.11 lacs as on cut-off date".
I am working in aprivate sector and my CTC is only 8.6lacs.
I got an offer letter from HCL Technologies ,where the offered CTC is 12 lakhs. But due to personal reasons i could not join.
I have submitted this offer letter as proof of my ability to work in a higher post as Manager.
But Airport authority have not considered this.
I want to raise an RTI to AAI, to know the details of the CTC of selected candidates.
Also i would like to know , of the documents i have submitted, which document they have considered as a criteria for my rejection. Also the reason for not considering the offer letter from HCL, as proof of my eligibility to be selected as a Manager.

Offer letter dose dose not prove drawing of salary and shall be prove by recent salary slip or bank statement. They are not asking for ability to earn but actually paid.

Under RTI you can get the details, if any candidate selected on the basis of offer letter, if yes than submit  representation to consider your claim in parity or remedy of last resort. Writ in High Court.

you may have received offer letter from HCL Tech but you never joined the organisation

2) if you had been employed by HCL and receiving CTC of Rs 11 lakhs on cut off date you would have been considered for job

3) hence organisation was justified in not considering you for the job

This criteria is totally illogical. You can challenge it's validity and seek necessary order instruction from court to remove the criteria for the selection purposes. File writ in high court or petition in CAT.

The offer letter from HCL may not be an authentic document to consider your eligibility for the post you have applied for since you have not joined the company nor was drawing the said salary/CTC.

However there is no bar on you to seek the desired information through RTI act, you can file an application to the concerned PIO seeking the information

You cannot dispute the eligibility criteria on the basis of your own qualification which you consider to be eligible.

If you do not meet the eligibility criteria then your candidature may not be accepted.

If you still want to proceed legally, firstly it may not be maintainable  or even if the court accepts your petition, the orders may not be in your favor owing to the facts and laws involved in it.
