• Naksha in revenue records do not match with area recorded against the land no.

Hi,
The Naksha(Map) of the lands with the revenue dept does not match with the land area recorded under it,
As a result when we are getting demarcation of the property done by Lekhpal(Patwari)/revenue inspector we are getting the lesser area under our share.

To whom to approach to get this rectified? Can it be changed?

It is not clear which record is right, previous one or the present one.

Check the title deed as in the event of anomaly of record your title deed alone is the guiding factor.

Now the measurement of land as reflecting on the title deed should match with either of the maps. Now the map which is not matching with your tile deed required to be corrected by the competent authority in default of which writ petition before the high court can be filed,

You have to approach the land revenue department only to get the same rectified based on the reliable documents you may possess and rely upon.

The village revenue officer may be having the original land records with the help of which you can get the land re-surveyed through the government surveyor and ascertain your records.
