Merely not mentioning middle name in application form is not grounds for cancellation of job offer

2) you can file application before CAT to set aside order of cancellation of your job offer

Hi

Inadvertent mistake of non mentioning middle name cannot be a ground for cancellation of your candidature.

Inspite of you filing Affidavit if the concerned Department cancels your candidature without giving you an opportunity, then you can approach Court i.e., C.A.T. challenging the  rejection of your candidature if any.

Middle name is compulsory whether its father or mother's name. For which post you had applied and what is status of that application. You can check Gazette for that particular department of ministry and its employment procedure.

For mere mistake in spelling of name or typing error the candidature of no candidate on successful completion of tests and screening can be cancelled.

So I am not sure which authority has said so but if it does then you can challenge the decision in the high court.

Do not believe information shared orally from third persons.

Is it confirmed whether your candidature is shortlisted for the post ?

If yes get material proof of the same and wait for confirmation from the department.

Check if any postings have been declared / confirmed.

If any postings have been done, make a formal representation checking about your candidature.

Do not solicit any one for getting information.

The authorities cannot cancel the candidature especially when you are ready and willing to give an affidavit to the effect.

You can take up the matter legally either by filing a writ petition or through the labor court.

You may wait or confirm if your fellow candidates have been appointed or not.

You can even clarify the information through RTI act seeking the status of your candidature.
