See if FIR is lodged for accident then it is a criminal case. You need to share the allegations, details and stage of case for the advise.

It is not clear whether you are accused person or you are complainant.

In either case there is no hurdle to get certified copy of the FIR or the charge sheet sheet if submitted.

Only after submission of charge sheet and framing of charges the court proceeds with trial .

So engage an advocate who can give you information what is the present status and why the case is stalled. Without knowing the preset status of the case I can not advise to expedite the case.

You can get the certified copy of the FIR through court also.

Are you an accused in the case, then you will be getting a free copy through court itself.

Contact your advocate for it.

Dear

Accident cases are of two types one is civil and other is criminal.

If your case title is State vs XYZ(your name)  then it is criminal case

And if it is ABC v/s XYZ then it is civil case for compensation from the injured or deceased family in accident.
