See if FIR is lodged for accident then it is a criminal case. You need to share the allegations, details and stage of case for the advise.

Motor accident claims are civil whereas FIR registered - criminal case.

It is not clear whether you are accused person or you are complainant.

In either case there is no hurdle to get certified copy of the FIR or the charge sheet sheet if submitted.

Only after submission of charge sheet and framing of charges the court proceeds with trial .

So engage an advocate who can give you information what is the present status and why the case is stalled. Without knowing the preset status of the case I can not advise to expedite the case.

You can get the certified copy of the said FIR from the court itself

if FIR registered then it is criminal and you can seek the same under RTI. This way you will get certified copy of the FIR.

You can get the certified copy of the FIR through court also.
