My father passed away three months ago and left his house to my mother. I want to know if she can pay property tax in his name now and get mutation done a little later?

Anyone, your mother or you can pay the proeprty tax in the name of your deceased father itself till the time the property is not mutated on your names.

For mutation on your mother's name all other legal heirs of your deceased father have to give NOC to this.
