No it doesn't. Persons do say things during a heated argument but that does not amount to an offence.

Verbal abuse is a crime even if a petty offence.

It attracts offence as defined under section 504 of IPC.

However since you have apologised for your conduct I do not think the eprson abused is going to pursue the matter further.

He can file a police complaint for same though no major offence is made out further if you defamed him then he can file a complaint and suit claiming damages for defamation.

No it will not. He needs to file a detailed complaint for the same and for verbal abuses there is no FIR.  Only NC is filed

1.  Verbal abusing (non-violent) is taken mildly and even if a Police complaint is made, the police may call & give you a warning and at the most levy a penalty.  NOTHING MORE THAN THAT.

2. NOTE:   It takes a lots of guts for the apathetic society people to lodge a police complaint and then attend & prove the same in a court of law.  This is literally a no-no for them.  However, avoid any social nuisance, since you also live in the same society and someday somebody else might abuse you or your family.

NO, if threaten than it is offense but minute. Single incident of abuse dose not call police investigation or FIR.

Hii

Greetings of the day.

You said sorry in Society meeting. The punishment does attract until unless the person whom you abuse does not take any action in written complain against or something else.

In India verbal abuse is a offence under the provisions of Indian penal code under section 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.

If the verbal abuse is towards the girl, other sections like section 354 of the Indian Penal Code can also be invoked.

I would advise you not to do any such thing again.

Hi,.

No cause of action and no further action lies if you have tendered apology and same accepted by that person.

1. It all depends on what words he has used while abusing you.

2. If those were not highly insulting then the offence will be non cognisable.

3. Moreover, when he has said sorry then it will be prudent on your part to leave the matter since it will be difficult for you to prove irrefutably that he had committed the punishable crime as per IPC.

It wont attract any punishment until he is not taking legal action on this..

However if the neighbor considers it as an insult and spoiled his name and reputation in the presence of general public, he may even plan to file a defamation case against you, so better be careful on that count.

Dear client

Just a verbal abuse does not attract any punishment under IPC. unless it is accompanied by some assault.

So don't worry about any punishment.
