• Availed a leave in emergency

I am employed in a central govt office at Bangalore. I am a native of calicut, which is around 400 km from Bangalore. Me and my family visited calicut on a saturday when my daughter got injured and was hospitalised. I informed the office, on sunday, about the situation and that i could not attend the office on monday. I joined back on duty the next day(tuesday)

Now the office has issued me with a memo which says that i have intentionally remained absent on monday

Prefer a reply to this memo, citing the compelling reasons under which you had to take this emergency leave. Attach all the relevant documentary proofs along with your reply, such as hospital records, medical prescription of the Doctor etc. Request them to drop the charges against you/.

If you have received a notice then you may give a reply stating that you were unable to return due to the situation at home was this and you may even produce the medical certificate in this regard  as documentary evidence to satisfy them, if they still insist on any action, you may challenge them legally when such a situation arise.
