Respected sir, This is my question . As per advt of. DSSSB, posts of grade 2 Dass we're adverised as total 313 , ur 185,obc 59, sc 50,st-19,exm-31, sports person 16,Oh 4,vh_6,hh 4. Now as per final result , only 140 candidates were selected in ur category, and 48 candidates were selected under obc category , and 43 candidates were selected under sc category , and 16 candidates were selected under St category , 4 candidates were selected under exsm, 4 candidates were selected under ph(oh) , 01 candidate selected under pH(hh), and 06 candidates selected under sports person. Now I am candidate under obc category securing 112.50 marks and obc cutoff had gone to 116, . Now I want to ask , why there are less vacancies fulfilled against available vacancies, and if it is due to horizontal reservation posts like exsm , sports person, pH etc , can these unfulfilled vacancies be merged into respective vertical reservation posts. Please clarify

- Every organisation has its own cut off as per desired vacancies to be fulfilled and no compromise can done on same
- There are many posts in Indian Administrative Services or Indian Judiciary Services are kept vacant due to cut off issue
- Generally the left vacancies are published with next upcoming recruitment process and not merged.
- However, pertain to DSSSB you can under RTI seek your valid queries answers

Post reserved for the other category can't be filled with the candidates belonging to the other category because it will defeat the system of roaster, these vacancies have to be kept vacant and shall be forwarded for the next year or for the next advertisement.

Above left reserved vacancy are back log which shall be carry forward and after lapse of 3 attempt/years , still vacate than will inter change to general.
You can send an application seeking the information from the concerned authorities under RTI act about the vacant posts and what is the reason that the eligible candidates were left out despite the entire vacancies in a particular category were not fully utilised.
You pretty well know that there were no candidates in OBC with a cut off 116 beyond the 40 selected candidates, then how can you expect the same to be adjusted in other category vacancy.
The unfilled vacancies cannot be adjusted towards other categories since each category has its own criteria, therefore you may either get the information through RTI to know the status or file a writ petition before high court.
