I want to rent my home as homestay (Home-stay is different from hotel, it is more like paying gaust)
there are many websites like

goibibo
they are ready to rent my home for short period like 2-3 days just like a paying gaust


what is the legal law and what i should do first before taking any booking

You would need licence from

Muncipal corporation if you are providing paying guest facilities at your residence

2) also need permission from cooperative societyto keep paying guest at home

See you can give your home for rent on temporary basis you just need to make an agreement with the website and although no necessary permission is required still you can inform local police station .
