I want to rent my home as homestay (Home-stay is different from hotel, it is more like paying gaust) there are many websites like airbnb makemytrip goibibo they are ready to rent my home for short period like 2-3 days just like a paying gaust what is the legal law and what i should do first before taking any booking

You would need licence from
Muncipal corporation if you are providing paying guest facilities at your residence
2) also need permission from cooperative societyto keep paying guest at home
You can enter into a lease agreement and can decide terms you want to add in it.
1) It will be act like paying guest. And you have to perform all rules and regulations like paying guest.
You should contact the websites and sign a contract with them wherein it should be mentioned that what would you get out of it percentage etc. What would be the terms and conditions and other things. Engage a lawyer fir this purpose.

See you can give your home for rent on temporary basis you just need to make an agreement with the website and although no necessary permission is required still you can inform local police station .
You can register your property in that website by reading there terms and conditions. Generally tourists prefer such places as rental.
This may be considered as lodge only.
Because PGs are for longer duration stay and not short duration.
You may have to obtain permission from local civic authorities.
