She has multiple remedies. She can claim maintenance under section 125 Cr. PC and in the alternative claim maintenance and initiate punitive action under the new Act for Protection and Maintenance of Elderly . I will suggest if she has no other male child to look after her, she should claims maintenance and take shelter in a old age home. There are many voluntary organisation like HelpAge India who have their HO in Delhi to help out such neglected parents.
