Why were you not called in first lot of 100 if you were having more marks than those who were called in the first round of selection.

The seniority for promotion shall be considered from the date of joining and not on the basis of the marks you have obtained.

If you have obtained better marks why was your candidature not considered in the prime list?

It is not mandatory that the promotion list should be considered only after all the declared vacancies are filled.

Better marks does not mean selection, there may be other steps such as interview as per requirement so do not confuse first see What are the total marks they have given to ninety candidates and what are been given to Ten candidates the picture will be clear to you if there is some thing wrong you find then move an application first to your higher ups through your departmental head then other things will be attracted.

Out of 100 seats 90 has been given to SC/ST candidates and remaining 10 has been given to General Category , itself shows that there is something wrong for the purpose of correct steps please go through the Ad. published for the purpose then suitable steps further.

The rules for recruitment of general candidates will be followed by authorities hence. your claim that you have scored better marks than them stands defeated.

The relative seniority of all direct recruits is determined by the order of

merit in which they are selected for such appointment on the recommendations of

the U.P.S.C. or other selecting authority, persons appointed as a result of an earlier

selection being senior to those appointed as a result of subsequent selection. The

relative seniority that used to be determined earlier according to the date of

confirmation and not the original order of merit, (in case where confirmation was in

an order different from the order of merit indicated at the time of their

appointment), in accordance with the general principles of seniority, has been

discontinued w.e.f. 4.11.1992 (O.M. No. 20011/5/90-Estt (D) Dated 4.11.1992).

The general principles of seniority therefore stands modified to that extent.

Sir even upon securing the better marks they were based on the quota in the first list and you were called later to fill up the post the date of joining shall be considered for the seniority marks are only eligibility to join and the rank after joining marks are not relevant.

Further with the quota and the reservation they are getting benefit of being selected among those seats there benefit cannot be taken back by putting seniority based on marks further in no institution there is seniority based on the marks, marks are just eligibility criteria,

See kindly appreciate in case they have not taken the joining and you all were made to join at the same time in that case you all would be at same pedestal but now since the joining dates are different they will be senior even by 15 days.
