Hello,

Since in India usually wife’s adopt the sir name of her husband therefore you have changed your sir name to the same in all the documents.

Child also usually follows the sir name of fathers lineage.

I would advise you to keep you name as aparna shukla only in child 12th documents because your name was aparna shukla only in his high school documents.

Changing your name in his subsequent documents might be of some trouble for him in future.

In order to change your name 1st you have to make an affidavit for name change, after that you have to publish it in Government official gazzett and a local newspaper.

Since after your marriage you have used Aparna shukla in most of your documents therefore you keep Aparna shukla as your name as this name has also been used in your son's marksheet and admit card.

Hope my reply helps you.

Yes it is totally legal, UGC till date has not made any restriction for the same till the university from which you have done the masters second time allows you the same.

You are eligible for NET and SLET and can use your second degree for the same.

Post your marriage, just your surname has changed.

Thus, as other IDs, even get your Aadhar by the same of Aparna Shukla and not Aparna Tiwari Shukla.

Also, in the CBSE board examination form of your son, mention your name as 'Aparna Shukla'.

Best scenario would be to seek declaration from a civil court in favour of the name you want to keep henceforth in all your official communications.

There is no compulsion to change surname after marriage.

Since you have already changed your surname you may continue with the same everywhere.

You can use the same surname I.e., Aparna Shukla for your son's school certificate too.

Don't change your name frequently and get the things complicated.
