• Lost original handover or possession letter issued by the builder

I have somehow misplaced / lost my original handover/possession letter of my flat , issued by the builder.All other original copies like registered sales agreement , allotment letter etc.are available with me.Will the builder issue me a fresh copy of the hand-over / possession letter on my request? If no,then what's the solution ?

Hello,

Yes you may request him to give you a copy of possession letter. You have a right to get the same if he refuses for the same then serve him with a legal notice and then sue him in the consumer forum.

But I think that he will give you another copy of the same.

Builder can issue you copy of said possession letter

Do not worrya s possession letter is not soimprtanct and in absnece of it your titile is not hampered in any way.

2.yes,the builder can always issue a frehs one once again.

3. Get a deed of conveyance registered in your name. once that is done all other agreement becomes redundant.

The builder cannot issue the possession certificate once again in original.

You have to make a representation narrating the circumstances under which you lost the original possession letter and abide by the formalities or the procedures that are required to be followed up in this regard.
