Your father can execute affidavit on Rs 100 stamp paper that both Krishna Rao and Kursh aji are one and same person
2) affidavit should be duly notarised
3) one and same person is not required to be published in official gazette
As per all official records of my father, he has been using his name as" KRUSHNAJI". But in our school records, he has mentioned his name as 'KRISHNARAO". Even, in his will, he has mentioned his name as KRUSHNAJI. Now, he is 85 years. Considering his age, it has become necessary to remove this anomaly in his name and required to establish KRUSHNAJI and KRISHNARAO are the names of the same person. How to go about it as per law?

1. Change of name i school record is no more possible.
2.However he can still make an affidavit beofre the first class magistrate and then make a newspaper publication on that regard.
3.So meet a local advocate and get this done.
Execute an affidavit to this effect, that his correct name is so and so and not so and so. Get this affidavit sworned and notarized.
Bring a public notice regarding this in a newspaper.
It is not change of name that is required to be done now.
You can prepare an affidavit and affirm the same before a notary public and get it published in a local newspaper as well as in the government gazette publication stating that Krishnaji and Krishna Rao are one the the same person and he is known by both the names. This affidavit is given for the purpose of letting known to the world that this person is known by both the names though it is mentioned differently in certain documents.
This publication copy will help you tide over the crisis if any.
