• Land in dispute

I purchased a Land 10 years back through one of my relative. And now I came to know that the land which I purchased is registered in people's name and the seller has changed the survey numbers and sold the same Land to four people.
And this information is provided by real estate agents. Now I am not able to know who is correct . From where can I get the information about who is the actual owner of the Land.
Can I take any action on the seller and as my relative is also responsible for this, can I take any action on him as well.
I took the encumbrance certificate from municipal office and on that still my name is showing as the property owner.
Does that mean real estate agents are lying or is the Land is under dispute according to the information provided by real estate agents?

Please let me know the solution for this.

You dont go by the rumours.

Since you have the registered sale deed in yor favor, you first take possession of the property.

You may put up barbed wire fencing all along the boundaries of your property to secure it properly.

You may even put a temporary structure in the vacant property.

If at all anyone else has also purchased the property you will get an objection from the so called buyer after which you can jump into legal actions to secure and save the property and safeguard your interests in the property.

Dont worry about the rumors spread by other real estate brokers.

You may take steps to secure your property and if you find anyone coming with the objection then you may decide about further legal course of action to defend your interests in the property.
