• Harassment by PSU management, what action can be taken legally

Dear sir/madam,
Presently I am working as deputy manager in a PSU bank at Hyderabad. I am a single working women staying away from my home. I have been working in the present organization from last 5 years. Two years back I got affected from herniated disc problem and my right hand got affected for which I have to go through regular treatment.Recently the situation became worst due to excessive work pressure and I had to take leave for 44 days and during that period I tried to join my duty but due to immense pain in my hand I had to take leave again. I kept on informing my bank about my health conditions and extension of leave through proper channel . But with utter surprise they sent me a letter with warning for voluntary resignation from service ,my salary & leased accommodation rent was stopped from last 2 months, after facing all these torture when I reported at my regional office they informed me that I am transferred to a new branch and its as per head office's order. I repeatedly ask for my transfer order letter but still I don't got it. By their oral instruction only I joined the new branch, but from the first day itself the branch head started misbehaving me continuously in front of other staffs and customers. I became the sole responsible person for the work which pending from years as well as sourcing of new businesses to bank plus every day routine work. I told my health condition to the manager but she moreover started harrasing me by telling me bad words every day as if I am a slacker. I escalated the matter to regional HR officer but got no solution.Still my salary is stopped and rent not paid for which I have to listen bad words from my landlord.Though my HR manager know about all this still he is silent about my all these issues and in reply he is telling me to work in that branch.Now i am undergoing treatment without salary and rent paid by bank. And I am daily going bank with my own expenses . I am staying alone and having severe health issues,despite that I am treated as culprit and forced to work in tough situation when my situation is delicate .I am working as unpaid binded labour. Please help me out what to do as I am passing through very tough phase and harassed by management.


So please help me out with this situation how legal action can be taken for this Matter and how strong is my case in this regard if i file a case.

1. In these circumstances you may file a writ petition in the jurisdictional High Court to direct the bank to release your salary along with all emoluments.

2. Any communications in writing that you may have made with the bank should be annexed along with the writ petition.

raise the issue with bank union to persuade management to pay your salary

Nobody can work without salary.

The bank cannot refuse to pay salary to you if you are entitled to get the same.

You can approach the top management by making a written representation narrating the entire events including your health problems by attaching copies of the medical reports.

After waiting for a considerable period for a relief or remedy, if you dont get one, you ma approach court seeking relief agaisnt this harassment by the bank authority.
