• Requirement of relieving letter for bank job

Sir, I have worked in an private organization for 2 years and 9 months. I had a bond for 3 years. I have resigned from my post. I have paid them the bond money. But they didn't give me the relieving letter.
I have been selected as a po in a psb. The bank doesn't want relieving letter at the time of document verification.
Will it creat any problem for me in the future?
How can I get my relieving letter?

since you have paid them the bond money and your resignation has been accepted the company should issue you relieving letter

2)send an email to the company and request them to issue you relieving letter

3)since your future employer is not insisting on relieving letter you would not face any problems

4) you can issue legal notice to company to issue you relieving letter

5) contact a lawyer for issue of legal notice . in said notice mention that you had resigned on X date company and as per company instruction completed hand over responsibilities. that till date company has not issued a relieving letter. call upon company to issue you relieving letter

Hi

Your previous employer, the bank has violated is on terms of bond after taking money from you and then not issuing a relieving letter

Send them a legal notice demanding the relieving letter asking to issue the relieving letter immediately

If the PNB does not require the same then forget this issue.

Yours is a new job and thence there is no likelihood that the PSB would require in it future anymore.

However you can carry on communications with your previous employer to get the relieving letter if in future it is ever required.

You Can think of sending legal notice also to get the same.

The bank will not consider the experience of the employment with the private organisation.

Moreover you have been recruited under the open competitive examinations observing all necessary formalities and rules of recruitment, therefore this appointment is not based on the experience or a NOC from the previous organisation.

Hence you may not be bothered about procuring relieving letter from the previous employer so urgently.

You can issue a legal notice to the previous employer to send you the relieving letter and settle your dues if any, in your F&F settlement, but you should not carry this to your head while joining the new assignment/employment.
