kataoniis a land sheet of the land ,

the second column of jamabandi is Khatauni Number or Number Khatauni. It is the number of possessioner or cultivator of land. The description of cultivator or possessioner is mentioned in column number 5. We can say that the cultivator or possessioners mentioned in column number 5 are having khatuani number which is mentioned in column number 2

In column number 3 Patti, Taraf or numberdar are mentioned. This column is ment for providing the information about physical location of land. In many villages particular caste is living in patti, hence the name of patti is mentioned as per their caste. Sometimes the location is identified through its numberdar, but the only objective is to find the location of land.

What is the dispute about? Are you the owner of the land, or do you claim rights under inheritance? For this you must get the mutation certificate and then apply for a survey to be conducted by the revenue department.

1. The physical location of the proeprty can be found from the master plan lying with the Tehsildar/Revenue Authority or the Municipality.

2. You can also apply for tis certified copy of you want to keep that plan with you.

It is a process of property verification.

It is a record of the land records and the transactions on it.

In this the land survey number, sketch of the property, check boundaries, kist etc will be found You can bring your own records to the Village patwari.

All the states have their own websites and have made the land records and other details online. You can take a print out of these and get it attested by the Village patwari

You can browse the web site of the land records of that particular state website and can follow the instruction given in the web site for the verification process f the property that is required to be purchased or the details sought.
