• Ex boyfriend harassing me

My ex boyfriend has been harassing me and forcing me to get married to him. I was in a relationship with him for 3 years and loved him till the time he started misbehaving and shouting and fighting with me and my family all the time. I tried a lot to change him but he didn't change and his behaviour worsened with time. He forced me not to work anywhere as he is rich. My family fixed our marriage which I had to call if because of his behaviour as he always forced me to get intimate with him and if I didn't he tried blackmailing me that he will make my life hell as he is very rich, he will finish my career and spoil my entire life. He calls and threatens m mother daily saying that he will never let me go and marry me anyhow. Whenever I tried to contact police he said he will bribe them and ask them to file a complaint against my family. I planned to shift from the city so he said he will track me from anywhere and everywhere and come back to scare me and will never leave me. He comes to my area and abuses me publicly and forces me to take a step against him so he can show me what he can do against me. I am from a very simple and humble family and he was the only guy I dated, now I feel very bad to cause all this trouble to my family. He comes to my house forcefully and says I will come here daily and sit inside do whatever you people can to stop me. I am scared of what will happen if he seriously bribes the police and files a complaint against my family. Please help.

He cannot continuously threaten you or he can say that he will bribe the police to make your life hell.

You should not be afraid of his threats and should first approach police with the help of some elders in your family, give a complaint in writing and get an acknowledgment.

Do not withdraw the complaint even under any pressure.

He is not the law nor he can buy everyone or anyone.

If the local police is not cooperating or responding properly you may approach the higher police officer of the district for intervention and relief.

He stared blackmailing me that if I don't continue this he will tell everything to my family so I continued this quietly and now he says I have used him for money and I owe him a lot of money. He also buoyed me gifts forcefully and now took everything back and humiliating my family that we took so much from him whereas we never did.

You cannot bear everything silently.

You have to stand up and revolt at one stage or else you will not be able to survive and he will cause you more damage.

I am only scared about one thing that he always says he will buy the police and they are in his pockets. He also says he will come out of jail and get me acid attacked or send Gurdas and beat up my family and he will do it in a way that no one can ever figure out it was done by him and my life will be spoiled forever.

You can mention the same thing in your police complaint and also can seek protection from him in the future too owing to his statements.

In your complaint you can mention whatever he told and threatened so that his bail application also will get rejected for the first time, he may not be able to bribe everyone for this.

Once he faces the music of law, he will realise and may become alright.
