Hello sir, my name in my 10 Board certificate was written as Gaurao,as per my name written in school register but later on in all academic certificates my name was written as Gaurav. Aadhar card, driving license and voter card is also having name Gaurav. Now i am facing problem in my govt. job recruitment as there is a discrepancy of name in board certificate and other certificates because of spelling mistake, Board certificate is must needed document as date of birth proof kindly advice me on this matter.. 1) you can submit an affidavit mentioning that it is a spelling mistake and that your name is gaurav and gaurao as wrongly mentioned in school leaving certificate

you should take correction of your name in 10th certificate on the basis of an affidavit and supporting documents. aadhar, pancard, other educational certificates are supporting documents. thereafter your name shall be corrected accordingly.
If you feel that this change in the spelling in your name in different documents would cause you problem or trouble, then you can get an affidavit notarised stating both the names are one and same and can also give a newspaper publication in any popular newspaper.
After this you may publish this in government gazette and can keep this gazette copy along with the other documents to prove both the names are one and same, this will clear all your problems.
