I had love marriage 15 years back . now iam mother of two children.my husband beats me every day and he has many extra marital affairs too. can I file a case at my parents residence which is far from my husband residence and what about police inaction. from last one month I am living at my parents residence can I file a FIR now and I can not afford to hire lawyer and fight a case at my expense. last time I filed FIR but police charged him with only section 507.

you should file a case under section 18,19,20,21 of the domestic violence act for compensation, protection, accommodation and custody order/relief. you can also file a criminal case under section 498 A and 406 of IPC.
