Sir, We belongs to Bihar ancestrally but living in Haryana since 30 years and having all documents except cast certificate. My father is in small business in Haryana. We have agricultural land, home, electricity connection, voter card, gas connection from Bihar also. Recently only I migrated to Bihar a year back and get voter card and OBC caste certificate from there Now I am applying to Central govt job. Do I need to use my Haryana Address(I will get OBC caste certificate)? Or Can I use Bihar address with New voter card(I will cancel my Haryana Voter Card) and OBC certificate? I want to use 2nd option but want to know is it legal or not? Also do OBC non Creamy certificate require attestation from SDO/DM? Thanks, Sanjay

1) since your family is staying in Haryana for 30 years apply for caste certificate from Haryana following documents are required Application form (for O.B.C caste certificate)
Copy of ration card, voter card or name mention in voter list (any one is needed)
Income, O.B.C caste report by Patwari/ MC/ Sarpanch
No family member is a Gazzeted officer
Self declaration certificate
2) application can be made online
3) certificate is issued by tehsildar/ Naib tehsildar cum executive magistrate
1. it is immaterial for the central government job that case certificate is issued from bihar and you have been residing in haryana. but you cannot use such certificate for services of haryana government.
2. second option is legal only for the central government and bihar state government job.
If you are very sure that you would like to get all correspondences at Bihar address, then you may give Bihar address itself or else you can give Haryana address.
The OBC certificate itself is an authentic certificate which need not be attested.
You cannot possess or use Voter's card at two different states simultaneously, it is an offence hence you may surrender the same in one state and use only which is feasible for you for all practical purposes
