• Co-op Bank not breaking FD prematurely

Cosmos co-op bank Ltd. didn't accept / receive Fixed deposit for premature closing for one month. After that they accepted application but did nothing for one more month till date. So, what to do? Is it a violation of fundamental right + deliberate harassment etc.? FDs are duplicate copies issued by bank.

It is not violation of fundamental rights but surely breach of legal rights.

The act of the bank is purely efficiency in service for which you can file case in consume forum wherein you cna claim refund, damages and compensation.

You can file and conduct the case in consume forum on your own,

You have to issue a legal demand notice to the bank demanding the FD amount after deductions but with interest from the date of application for pre-mature closure since they have not responded properly till this date.

After this you may plan to file a money recovery suit against the bank through a civil court.

This is a violation of your statutory rights. You should sue the bank in consumer forum to seek compensation on account of deficiency in service by the bank under Consumer Protection Act.
