Legal formalities for associating a dance class under an already established Trust
Dear Sir/Madam, I have registered a Cultural and Educational Trust in Tripura where it has been mentioned that we can run classes/institutions in all over India. Now, we want to start a classical dance (Kathak) class in Bangalore and apply for examination center under a govt. art and cultural University. The name of the dance class would be different than the name of the trust. What is the legal formality that we should do? Where should I go for getting any permission if required? Please advise.

1. if the object of the trust specified in the object clause of trust deed permits the running of a dance class as part of its various cultural activities, then nothing further is required to be done

You have to register at bangalore, take the local license to run the class officially.
Sir no other formalities are required you can start class under the trust the name can be different and it can be mentioned managed and run by your trust name further you just need local establishment permission.
The name of the dance class and the trust can be different, but the trust deed should clearly state that opening of dance classes for commercial purposes is permitted.
Subject to the Copyright Act of 1957, it is mandatory for all those who play Pre-recorded music in the form of Gramophone Records, Music cassettes or CDs or Radio or TV or Audio-visual etc. for non-private purpose or in public places and/or commercial establishments and/or non-commercial establishments, to take prior licence from Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL).

As far as affiliation and recognition for the dance class is concerned, you may have to apply to the university itself directly.
Since this being commercial activity, you may have to get licence from the local civic administration for running the school and also from other authorities.
