What are they asking for?

Mother can update or apply for any public document including passport of the child even without the consent of father.

So the act of the authority is surely not permissible.

So if they do not accept inform its higher authorities or file writ petition in high court.

They are asking the bank statement with current address on father's name or child's bank statement with current address.

I have my back statement' sale deed on my name, my aadhaar, gas connection, power bills and house tax ... All are with current address only. But they are not ready to accept all these are 'address proofs' for my kid's aadhaar update, as my child is 7 years so I can not do this online.

You can update the details of aadhar card by online method.
