Reply to the showcase saying that you have an OBC status in State and not nationally. Since, yo are a confirmed employee, they can retrench you only as per the rules. Thus, the enquire proceedings etc. will go regularly before you are terminated. If at all all this happens, at an appropriate stage you may approach the High Court and seek an appropriate relief.

Your services are liable to be terminated as you do not fall under OBC NL category

You don't have case to continue in your job

If the authorities say that you were wrongly selected let them mention the rule or provision of law under which they make this allegation.

You can challenge the same in the court of law for the reasons you rely upon

Since the matter is very old, the department may not enter into legal arena for this purpose.

what should i do if there is a showcause notice

If you receive a show cause notice you may first maintain calmness.

Afterwards you may engage a lawyer and give a strong reply so that the management may decide to recall the action proposed to be taken against you.
