• Hiding marital status in job applications

Respeced Sir,
I am a PSU employee. I have a girl friend (26 year old). We want to marry each other, but our parents are not in favor of this. So we have decided to marry in court this month (one month objection period is already over).
My girl-friend is preparing for Bank exams. This year she will be filling forms for Bank clerical jobs, PO and SO (Special field Officer, as she has degree from an agricultural university). Also she shall be applying for STATE GOVT. jobs. But as we don't wish to inform our families about our court marriage, she will have to fill he forms as UNMARRIED.
So we wish to know, if this could lead any trouble for her if she gets the job and also if it can lead to any trouble for me as I am already a PSU employee.
Please guide us. We don't know whom else we can turn to.

Thank You.

1. Non disclosure of material information like marital status is grave indiscretion for which she may be alter departmentally proceeded against.

2.If you do not wish to inform this in public then delay your marriage registration but under no circumstances hide this material information in her job application form.

3.Since both of you are agreeable to marry a each other, there is no hurry to marry just now. Let her fill up the form in unmarried status and after submission marry her.

Good luck.

Suppressing any fact that is material to the grant or approval of the application shall be considered as an offence and proper legal actin may be taken .

What is the problem to disclose the marital status in the application even if you dont want to reveal this information to the parents.

Dont try to take any risk in this aspect.
