• Minor discrepancy in names in different document

Hi
My actual name is Punit Agarwal(with single 'g' ). My Father's legal name is Ajay Aggarwal(On all his legal document) and mother's name is Sunita Aggarwal(On all her legal document). My name in my 10th class certificate, PanCard, Aadhar Card, Driving Licence birth certificate is Punit Agarwal(with single 'g' ) and of my parents are Ajay Agarwal and Sunita Agarwal. But my name on 12th class certificate and Passport is Punit Aggarwal and of my Father and mother are Ajay Aggarwal and Sunita Aggarwal.

Any suggestion what should be done so that both names belong to me on all legal procedings? if required, I can go with any one of the names and don't have a preference. Which name should i go with so that i don't face any difficulty in Visa?

This is just a minor issue which may be ignored

If still feel that this may create any problem then you may get a notarized affidavit stating both the names are one and the same

Keep this affidavit with your documents

it is minor typographical error

2) apply to Board to rectify name of parents in Xii std certificate

3) since it is minor typographical mistake board would do the needful

4) however application has to be made within period of 2 years of passing 12th standard

1) You need to give your parents documents which have single g

2) advertisements in newspapers is not necessary

3) you should not change your college degree certificate to double gg nor your pan card nor aadhar card

4) it is minor typographical error affidavit should suffice

About affidavit, I would like to ask would

1. While making the affidavit, Would i need to give my parents document in which their name has single 'g' and/or document in which their name has double 'g' (both, one or none) or my document with their name as mentioned in sample affidavit below is enough ?

You need not produce any documentary evidence of your father for making this affidavit.

2. Once I have the affidavit, do i need to go through the process of publishing an advertisement in newspaper? In short, can anyone/any institution reject my name because I don't have a newspaper publication?

No institution can reject the same if you have this affidavit alone.

The newspaper publication is to authenticate your claim.

III. Please suggest me if there would be a problem in what i am thinking for the next few steps:

5. Change my name in aadhar card from single 'g' to double 'g' as per my name in passport (With passport as only supporting document) (Would be doen in two weeks)

Dont change the name in aadhar card or nay other document as stated, let them remain in the same spelling in all those documents which carried this.

Your affidavit need not be this lengthy.

You can affirm that the name of your father and mother found in the following documents differ with with other documents viz., xyz xuz etc hence you are filing this affidavit to affirm and confirm that both the names pertains to you hence the affidavit.

This will take care of the affidavit.
