• Show Cause Notice

Hi,
I have got show cause notice 6-7 days back. It stated that my Police Verification is adverse. Now I tell you complete story:
Actually I have shifted from Ghaziabad to Gurgaon 2 years back (Feb, 2015) and I applied to renew my expired passport in Sep, 2015 so Passport office asked my current (Gurgaon) and previous (Ghaziabad) address both. I have given them and then Passport office sent the Police Verification on both the places: I have physically gone to Gurgaon police station and verified myself and they have sent positive verification as well. While for Ghaziabad - I've given my Ghaziabad neighborhood reference to police man who has called on my number - Police man gone to my neighborhood and given note "Person verified but not present at place".

Now today I have visited Passport office and given them a written application as answer stating:
"My Gurgaon police verification is positive and Ghazibad police also said that I am verified only was not present at place. So request you to please remove obligation".
Passport officer agreed and said OK - he has taken handwritten application + SCN notice (signed by his senior officer - signed just before him) and said not to worry, it is cleared now. This would the talk of before 3 hours (2:30 PM May 25, 2017), now I opened my Passport portal and seen that Show Cause Notice is still being shown under my Passport status tracker. I've to travel abroad in coming 10-15 days and want to know would there be any obligation raised while immigration (India/Abroad) and while traveling abroad. Any answer would be great help?

Kind regards,
Sourabh

1) as on date there is no order passed prohibiting you from travelling abroad for work purposes

2) if your passport has been renweed you are at liberty to travel abroad

3) it would take time for passport office to remove notings on the website of your passport

4)you can again visit the passport office and meet passport officer mention that you have to travel abroad shortly to kindly remove the adverse notings on your passport tracker

The events which took place is just today in the day time, the officers after satisfactory reply may update the status later on and you may find the updated status in a day or two.

If the status is not updated even after 3 clear working days, you may approach the office to clarify the current status with a request to update the same if bot done earlier in view of the program to travel abroad.

The officer concerned will make sure it is updated if no other issue is pending.

Thank you, so while immigration at India and US if they check my Passport online (Status Tracker) and live SCN, wouldn't be any problem?

If you so much concerned about it. you may visit the passport office once again after three working days and clarify the details in person to avoid last minute problems.
