• Purchase of agricultural land in karnataka

Hi 

My annual income is less than 2 lakhs and i have agricultural land in kerala which is in my mothers name and she is no more. I wish to purchase agricultural land in karnataka, What are all the documents I have to produce to enable to register the land in my name.

the following documents are required

1) sale deed

2) mutation records

3)survey map

4) village map

5)index of land

6) endorsement from tehsildar that there is nthing pending under section 79A and 79 B of kantaka land reforms act

7) endoresement from competent authority that land is not grant land

8) latest tax paid receipt

9) encumberance certifcate

A non-agriculturist also can purchase agricultural land in Karnataka upto the extent of rs. 25 Lakhs.

Since you own agricultural land in Kerala, you may obtain a certificate to this effect from you village revenue department and attach it to the property registered sale deed document.

As far as other documents i.e., id, itr etc, you will be informed by the local document writer.
