• OBC creamy layer

Sir,
 My father is a directly recruited Class B state government teacher.His salary is 6 lakhs per annum.He is not promoted to group A at the age of 40 and he is still a group B teacher.
My mother is a directly recruited Class C state government teacher but she got promoted to group B at the age of 48.Her annual income is 6.5 lakhs per annum.
So, do I fall under OBC creamy or OBC non creamy layer?

for govt servants creamy layer is decided by post and not by income

2) as per the Central creamy layer criterion II & III dated 08.09.1993 only the sons and daughter of following “government servants” will be treated as creamy-layer.

(i) Parents, either of whom is a Group-A officer.

(Direct Recruitment)

(ii) Parents, both of whom are Group-B officers. (Direct Recruitment)

(iii) Parents of whom only the father is a Group-B officer and he gets into Group-A at the age of 40 or earlier.

3) you would be entitled to OBC NL certificate

Direct recruit Gp-B officer and have not become Gp-A officer in the age of 40 shall not under non creamy layer;

Thus you may come under OBC NCL for the purpose of getting the concession/privileges under this category.

Though my mother was directly recruited as class C,now she has been promoted to Class B.So, now both my mother and father are Class B employees.So what will be my OBC status? creamy or non creamy?

The status of government employees at the age of 40 years or if they were direct Gp-A officers, shall determine the status of OBC NCL
