• Resignation on personal vs health grounds

Dear Sir,
I have joined on a Central Govt job on Dec 2016 and for some health issues and personal/domestic reasons, I had to take Loss of Pay leave for 50 days., and then I rejoined on April 2017. When I rejoined, I still had personal issues and some health issues aswell. As the situation did not get better, I resigned on personal grounds. But since the relieving was required immediate, Director suggested to use health reasons for immediate relieve.

My question is: As I have both options to be relieved on health grounds Or personal grounds, is there a better and not-so-better option in giving the reason as it will be mentioned in the relieving letter? Will there be any impact to my next job when I apply in state or central govt jobs? Please suggest sir. Thank you.

1)health grounds would be the best option if you want to be relieved immediatedly

2) it would not have a imapct on your next job if you have the medical fitness certifcate .

3) you would be quizzed by your employer what were the health reasons that you wanted to be relived immediately

4) mention personal grounds if you dont want to be relived immediatedly

This is a short tenure in a government service.

This may not add any useful support ion respect of experience to any future employment.

You will not be asked about the previous employment in any government employment that you may likely to get out of open competition.

Hence you do not have to mention about this employment in future employment application.

Therefore if the health grounds would fetch you immediate relief you can quote the same grounds for resignation.

1. Since there is no problem in your resigning on personal grounds, there was no reason for your showing health is the reason for your such resignation.

2. Since your releasing letter will show health as the reason for your resignation, it might cast aspiration on the mind of your next interviewer about your health for which you may not be selected.

3. It is always better to resign on personal ground.
