Divorce case: US Citizen Couple

We’re married in India in 2000 (Hindu Marriage Act). We have 2 kids. Wife has a well-documented medical history of serious mental disorder. She had been on psychiatric medications over the last 5-7 years. In the past she had attempted to buy a gun with an intent to commit suicide. Both, husband and wife are US Citizen. Kids are US citizen. Wife is going back to parents in India and our marriage is falling apart. Questions are below. Any advice will be highly appreciated. 1) I would like to file the divorce in the US court. As we both are US citizen, would Indian courts have any jurisdictions over this matter? 2) Is there any 50-50% distribution of assets as per the Indian laws? 3) What are the Indian laws regarding alimony/maintenance? 4) How about section 498A? Can she or her family use this law as a vehicle to overpower the divorce proceedings? How does the recent Apex Count’s judgement regarding 498A affect in these types of cases? My understanding is that police cannot immediately make any arrests without conducting “proper investigations” in the matter. 5) Is it easy to get an anticipatory bail (AB) from the sessions court in these kinds of cases? My most concern is about my elderly parents’ safety and honor who are living in India. 6) How do I serve the complaint of divorce from the US court to her in India? Can you please provide some processing services’ contact details in Mumbai and Pune area? Thank you so very much.
