I am not allowed by the university to answer the exams.They say that I have completed the maximum duration allowed to complete the course.
I have taken admission to BE course direct second year in Goa University. The ordinance of Goa University is as follows.
OA-16.11 Duration for the completion of the Programme:
(effective from 6th February, 2015) (i) The total duration available for
students to complete the course shall be twice the actual duration prescribed
for the course, unless otherwise specified. In case of courses having guidelines
prescribed by regulatory bodies such as MCI, DCI, CCH, CCIM, AICTE, the
duration for completion of such course shall be as prescribed. Students who do
not complete the course/pass all the examinations prescribed for the course
within the available duration, shall have to discontinue the course.
OC- 10A.2 Minimum duration of the degree: The B.E degree shall be of four academic
years duration. In each academic year, there shall be two semesters. The course of
study is designed for each term/semester with the provision of University
examination at the end of the semester.
OC- 10A.5 A Candidate being eligible for admission directly to the second year of the four year
degree course in Engineering shall be exempted from appearing at I & II semester
examinations and shall be eligible for the award of B.E. degree after passing
examinations from III semester to VIII semester.
In the above mentioned paras, It is nowhere mentioned that the minimum duration for the be course for a student who has taken admission to direct second year is 3 years.
They say that I am in violation of para OA-16.11 "The total duration available for
students to complete the course shall be twice the actual duration prescribed
for the course"
