Can a Houseowner has the right to deduct the wall painting cost and other damages cost from Tenants Security deposite

I've given my house on rent on February 2023 to a tenant ( a Lawyer in profession ) and have signed an rent Aggrement having all the clauses. I've taken Rs. 20000 as security deposite and 1 month rent in advance. On 1 march 2024, i asked my tenant to raise the rent by 10% as aggreed in the rent aggrement. He denied and asked 3 months to leave the house with the same rent. I didnt aggreed on but due to sympathy i didnt asked. After 3 months, he didnt left and continuing asking 2 more months. He left anyhow on 30 Aug 2024. He didnt given the key on the same day when i vidited to see my house and he kept the key with him asking his security money back. We said that let us see the house first snd will give that. But he didnt. Though i've to shift my belonging to the same house i anyhow shited on the next day with the 2nd key i'm having. When i get inside my house i've seen lot of damages to walls ( newly painted before providing him), and lot of other damages in AC pipelines etc. After seeing all that damages, i refused to give the security amount back to him because to those whomsoever i showcased those damages (such as painters, electricians, plumbers and other damage repairing peoples), all have asked more amounts to repaire those damages. Most of the damages have been done to walls. The painter now is asking Rs 35000 to paint just roughly. And if we need those walls in good condition, they are asking more than Rs. 80000. Though i have other electrical and plumbing and AC pipeline damages as well, i refused to give him security deposite back. He now called to my wife and started threatning her on call to give the security deposite back otherwise he is a lawyer and knows what to do. Please suggest how and what to do at this stage? Please let me know the right step.
