Dear Lawyers, We planned to purchase a house ( resale one, A katha and clear from all encumbrances, plan approved by BBMP in 2015) in Bangalore located in a place called Doddabommasandra. The house is near by the doddabommasandra lake. BBMP has constructed a fencing around the lake, with a walking track all around the lake and made arrangements for people to sit around and chat: All these ( walking track and the Chat benches are within the fencing). The proposed house for purchase is at a distance of 10 metres from the said fencing which is a second house in the rows of multiple houses located there. While going through the papers of the house and the prior knowledge of NGT and the writeups in newspaper I got alerted. The house owner and locality of nearly 75 families are already staying there since years. Now I would like to know, whether it is worth purchasing the property. As there is no clarification on the rules of BBMP, what action will be taken further, on whether the building will be demolished, compensation paid if demolished etc..etc. Is there any cl ear definition of basic criteria of 30meters measured from where.? is it the end of the lake or the fencing. Please advice.
