Structural damage to my house due to construction in adjacent plot

I live in an area which has row houses with common adjoining walls.. These are small plots of 109 sq. Yds. and have row houses with common walls built on them by the builder/developer. The foundation of these houses are made for only Ground + 1 floor. These houses have no concrete pillars for support and the common walls are of 9” thickness for imparting strength. The adjacent house being built on the adjacent plot, was a part of the row houses with the same design. But now, they have have been given permission to construct Ground(Stilts) + 4 floors. As a result, the foundation has also been dug up accordingly, right next to the main structural wall of my house. Even the 9” common wall has been cut in half, making it a 41/2” only. Over a period of a few months, my house started developing cracks in the walls since the mud had shifted from under the shallow foundation it has. This is because a much deeper excavation was dug up right next to it without leaving an inch of space. Consequently, the main wall that supports the structure has developed many cracks which signifies the extent of the damage caused to my house. A number of ceramic tiles on the floor has also developed cracks due to the shifting of the mud and the stress points as a result thereof. Since the main structure wall, that supports the whole building has developed cracks, it is needles to say that the whole building has become unsafe. It can be assumed that the Municipal Corporation has the designs of these row houses and their structural strengths/weaknesses, which would have been submitted to them by the developer, which is a mandatory requirement as per rules, yet permission was granted for constructing a 5 story building knowing fully well the damages that such construction would cause to the adjacent houses. Hence, the onus of repairing the structural damage and make the house suitable for living lies squarely on the MCG. What can I do to seek redressal.
